CEPIAL’s “AI-Driven Passive Candidate Sourcing” Instantly Identifies and Evaluates Every Qualified Candidate in Today’s Talent Market

ROCHESTER, NY– May 20, 2020 — CEIPAL, a SaaS platform for the front and back-office business operations of staffing companies, today announced the launch of a new product capability that will revolutionize operations for recruiters across the globe by providing automatic access to the entire online workforce.

Typically, recruiters source talent from pools of “active candidates,” or candidates actively seeking to switch positions, since these active candidates quickly respond to recruiter marketing efforts. Such traditional candidates help firms decrease drive-to-fill time. However, active candidates only comprise 30% of today’s labor force, which makes hard-to-fill technical positions such as  IT, engineering, and healthcare, extremely difficult to fill. Simply put, the candidate pool is too small.

Increasingly, firms are discovering the answer to this problem resides in the 70% of the workforceters overlook: passive candidates. Passive candidates are gainfully employed people,  who could be convinced to switch jobs if the right opportunity came along. These candidates are often difficult to reach, as they’re not visiting job boards or opening recruiter emails. But, if recruiters can reach them, they’ll find passive candidates are 120% more effective for client needs, and 56% more likely to be culturally compatible with a client’s corporate culture.

CEIPAL’s new capability, termed “AI-Driven Passive Candidate Sourcing,” provides an easy way to access this untapped market of talent. From within the CEIPAL platform, recruiters can now conduct candidate searches, which leverage the power of big data, sourcing passive and active candidates alike. CEIPAL’s search algorithms crawl all public domain sites, such as Google and Github, delivering highly-qualified candidate profiles directly to recruiters’ dashboards. The AI then ranks these candidates so the best matches appear first, saving the recruiter hours of time spent parsing resumes and matching requirements.

“We see our new passive candidate sourcing module as the future of CEIPAL and the sourcing industry,” said CEIPAL’s CEO and Co-Founder, Sameer Penakalpati. “Acquiring specialized talent is one of the major concerns of executives on a global level, and using AI technology to increase the size of an organizations’ potential talent pool will be critical for the success of staffing firms and corporations alike.”

CEIPAL’s  AI algorithms not only help recruiters expedite the search for specialized talent, but also include deep profiling capabilities that will help recruiters locate candidates that are both technically qualified and a “good company fit.” Scanning candidates for traditionally unseen or “soft” hiring factors such as overall cultural compatibility, CEIPAL’s new feature produces easily digestible infographics on every profile, enabling recruiters to focus their time and energy on ideal candidates. In this way, the technology yields increased placement retention rates, opening new opportunities for business.

“Automating interpersonal observations will change the way hiring looks for decades to come, not only for staffing firms, but for corporations everywhere,” added Penkalapati.  “This new approach to analytics and candidate profiling represents the most powerful AI-driven tool in the recruitment world.”

This feature comes on the heels of CEIPAL’s recognition by G2 as one of the Top 50 Products for HR in 2020, setting the five-year-old startup apart as an industry leader in the realm of AI-driven recruitment technology.
