Cliquify has announced the launch of Cleo Intelligence, an AI-based data technology designed to help organizations understand and strengthen their employer brand. In this demo, Amit Parmar, CEO of Cliquify, walks us through the key features and benefits of this innovative tool.

CLEO is a new Employer Brand Intelligence Tool from Cliquify

Cleo, which stands for Cliquify Engagement Optimizer, addresses a growing need in the recruitment and employer branding space. As Amit explains, “In this day and age that we live in, everybody wants to know okay I’m spending all this money in recruitment marketing employer branding, what is it exactly doing for me in terms of candidate attraction and conversion as well as retention management.”

So, what exactly does Cleo do? Every month, it scours various online platforms such as Reddit, LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Comparably, Instagram, and Facebook to collect and analyze workplace chatter. This data is then used to identify who companies are losing talent to and why. The output provides powerful insights that can shape content strategies, employer branding efforts, and recruitment marketing initiatives.

One of the key strengths of Cleo is its ability to provide up-to-date information. As Amit points out, traditional EVP (Employer Value Proposition) research can take six to nine months, by which time the data may already be stale. Cleo enables enterprises to constantly listen and adapt their strategies based on current data.

The demo reveals several interesting features of Cleo:

  1. Talent Competitor Analysis: Cleo identifies where companies are losing most of their talent to, providing a list of top talent competitors.
  2. Sentiment Analysis: It summarizes positive, negative, and mixed reviews or sentiment across various platforms, not just limited to Glassdoor or Comparably.
  3. Content Strategy Suggestions: Based on the gap analysis, Cleo suggests content strategies for different pillars of the employer brand.
  4. Content Planner: The tool provides a monthly content planner with suggestions based on the gap analysis and common industry events.
  5. Competitor Comparison: Leaders can compare their company’s performance against competitors on a monthly basis, looking at positive and negative sentiment side by side.

Amit shares some interesting insights from the data they’ve collected so far. For instance, they’re seeing a lot of chatter on Reddit, more so than other platforms. Common themes include employees being thrown into roles without proper training, issues with hiring manager or candidate experience, and a lack of support structure for early career talent.

The demo uses IBM as an example (though it’s worth noting that IBM is not a Cliquify client). It shows how Cleo breaks down positive and negative sentiments, identifies mixed reviews, and compares the company to its competitors like Wipro, Infosys, and Cognizant.

Looking ahead, Amit reveals exciting plans for future iterations of Cleo. These include more granular data at the job function level, as well as geographic and regional insights. They’re also considering opening up the platform to candidates in the future, allowing job seekers to make more informed decisions about potential workplaces.

When asked about how Cleo was built, Amit explains that it uses a combination of crawlers and a sophisticated large language model that they’ve been developing for nine months. This allows Cleo to not just collect data, but to understand the context and meaning behind comments and reviews.

To demonstrate the power of Cleo, Amit shares an anecdote about a company that spent $80,000 on a six-month manual data collection project. When they compared their results with what Cleo provided in just two hours, they found little difference in the quality of insights.

However, Amit is quick to emphasize that Cleo is not meant to replace human intelligence. “AI is there to enable you to do things faster, maybe better,” he says. “We want the humans to put their lens because they know what’s happening inside their organization.”

For those interested in trying out Cleo, Amit offers a special gift to listeners. By visiting GetCleo.ai entering their company domain and work email
