SAN FRANCISCO – Humand, an AI-powered platform designed for the 2.7 billion workers who don’t sit at desks, announced Monday that it has raised $66 million in Series A funding. The round, co-led by Kaszek and Goodwater Capital, signals a massive bet on the digital transformation of industries like manufacturing, retail, and healthcare.
While the “white-collar” world has seen a decade of digital innovation, Humand argues that the frontline workforce—which represents 80% of the global labor pool—has been largely ignored. These employees often rely on outdated bulletin boards, paper trails, or fragmented messaging to stay connected.
“The majority of the global workforce has been overlooked by enterprise software for decades,” said Nicolas Benenzon, CEO and Co-founder of Humand. “We’re building the platform that finally gives them the same access, voice, and digital power as corporate employees.”
A “Social Network” for the Frontline
The platform acts as a mobile-first “operating system” for employees on the move. Rather than logging into a desktop, workers use the Humand app to request time off, access benefits, and complete training.
What sets the platform apart is its AI-native architecture. Instead of navigating complex HR menus, workers can interact with AI agents using natural language to answer inquiries or process requests in real time. This consumer-grade experience is a deliberate move to drive engagement in sectors notorious for high turnover.
Heavyweight Support
The funding round saw significant participation from Silicon Valley royalty, including Y Combinator and the founders of Dropbox (Arash Ferdowsi), Vercel (Guillermo Rauch), and Lyft (Rajat Suri).
“Humand transforms workplace software from static systems of record into dynamic systems of action,” said Eric Kim, Co-founder and Managing Partner of Goodwater Capital.
Rapid Global Scaling
Founded in 2020, Humand has already scaled to more than 1.6 million users across 1,500 organizations, including global brands like Domino’s, OXXO, and MINISO.
The company plans to use the $66 million infusion to accelerate its expansion into the United States and further develop its suite of 30+ AI modules. With a team of 420 people operating across 20 countries, Humand aims to become the “default” software for any company managing a distributed, deskless workforce.
“The future of work is simple: AI agents in your pocket,” added Vercel founder Guillermo Rauch. “Humand is the all-in-one mobile app that empowers your entire workforce.”
