SocialTalent, the leading e-learning platform dedicated to hiring and talent management, is delighted to announce the acquisition of Careercake as part of an ambitious growth strategy to meet the training needs of its customers.

SocialTalent, founded in 2010 by Johnny Campbell and Vincent O’Donoghue, brings industry-leading content to companies who want to find, hire, develop, and retain the best talent and build diverse, inclusive workplaces. A growing team of over 50 people supports 200+ clients, including Cisco, Disney, Just Eat, Booking.com, Nokia, and Zalando.

“The combined impact of the Great Resignation, low employee engagement, and a shortage of recruitment professionals has left lots of companies under pressure as they try to hire. The demand for corporate learning started to accelerate during the pandemic and continues to grow”, Vincent O’Donoghue, Chief Revenue Officer explained.

“SocialTalent enables employers to radically rethink how they recruit, engage, and retain top talent and upskill existing employees. What sets SocialTalent apart is the quality of our authors and content. We knew we needed to expand our existing library quickly to meet evolving customer demands, but we didn’t want to compromise on quality. Acquiring Careercake’s award-winning video content made complete sense as we scale and accelerate the launch of new solutions. Careercake content is central to our latest solutions for Onboarding and Internal Mobility, which are launching very soon,” he added.
