The Mom Project Inc., a recruitment firm focused on mothers, raised $80 million in new capital at what may be a pivotal moment for working women and the companies that want to hire them.
The Mom Project, on whose website candidates get matched with white-collar jobs that seek to accommodate work-life balance, raised new capital to make hires and develop its products. Leeds Illuminate, a women-led growth equity investor launched last year with a focus on education and workforce-development companies, led the Series C round of equity that totaled $60 million and valued the company at above $300 million. The Mom Project also raised $20 million in debt from Silicon Valley Bank.
The Mom Project has more than 500,000 job seekers on its platform, most of whom are college-educated.
