Tips and Tricks – Time Valuations with next day combinations (working or non working day filters)

In the recent 1H 2025 release, the Time product has come up with one of the most awaited features where you can now work with Time Filters which can determine whether next day is a working day Or a non working day.  Gone are those days where we had to write filters with fixed days like Saturdays and Sundays as non working days. This filter now would dynamically detect the non working days based on the work schedule. The non working days can be anyday literally and that’s the beauty of this new enhancement and filter.

I recently came across a  requirement which is represented below and we have made use of this new enhanced Time Records Filters to overcome this challenge. Hence I thought may be I can share practically how we used this new filter to address this.

The requirement is represented in the diagram below:

The Employee has a planned working time of 08:00 to 17:00 hours which is net 8 hours excluding break.  As you can also see from above, The overtime threshold for working day and  Off Day is different. We need to extract the overtime for current working day and also the next day which is a
