Bellevue, WA –Jeff Brennan, Chief Privacy Officer and General Counsel for Vettd, Inc., has been recognized as a Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP) for a variety of accomplishments including his contribution to Vettd’s AI solutions so they enhance privacy and trustworthiness through improved transparency.

The International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) has named Brennan a Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP) for his comprehensive knowledge of privacy laws and privacy program management. Brennan also completed several IAPP credentials for data protection practices and has extensive real-world experience.

Brennan joins a highly select group of professionals worldwide who currently hold the FIP designation.

“The award symbolizes extraordinary achievement in the field,” said IAPP Director of Certification Doug Forman, adding “it’s also a way to show appreciation for those whose work enriches the privacy field.”

After a successful career in the telecommunications field, Brennan has worked with a number of technology start-ups supporting them with legal advice and working to instill both the knowledge of privacy requirements and the discipline to think through, design, and build software to meet these requirements.

The FIP designation is available to those who have earned a Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) as well as a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) or Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT), all of which are recognized by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) as the gold standard accreditation of credentials for information privacy professionals.

Privacy professionals are the arbiters of trust in today’s data-driven global economy. They help organizations manage rapidly evolving privacy threats and mitigate the potential loss and misuse of information assets. The IAPP is the first organization to publicly establish standards in professional education and testing for privacy and data protection. IAPP privacy certification is internationally recognized as a reputable, independent program that professionals seek and employers demand.
