Introduction
Job approvals in SAP SmartRecruiters ensure that every new position goes through the right authorisation chain before it is published. But what happens when an approver rejects a job — not because of a standard field change, but because they want updates that do not automatically re-trigger the approval workflow?
Out of the box, SmartRecruiters will only re-trigger an approval when certain protected fields are modified. If an approver rejects a job requesting a different kind of change (for example, updating the job advertisement copy or the posting location), the recruiter has no native button to restart the process.
