ATLANTA — Predictive hiring and assessment provider Harver has acquired Symphony Talent, a major player in recruitment marketing, employer branding, and candidate relationship management (CRM).

The transaction unites two human resources technology companies to create a single, connected talent intelligence platform. Backed by private equity firm Rubicon Technology Partners, the newly merged entity aims to address the talent lifecycle from upfront recruitment marketing to post-hire performance.

Unifying the Talent Acquisition Funnel

Historically, enterprise recruiting tech stacks have been fragmented, forcing talent teams to rely on disparate tools for employer branding, candidate engagement, candidate screening, and validation.

By integrating Symphony Talent’s recruitment marketing and CRM capabilities with Harver’s pre-employment assessments, fraud detection, and reference-checking tools, the combined company will offer:

  • Attraction & Engagement: Employer value proposition (EVP) development, programmatic job advertising, custom career sites, and CRM-driven talent communities.
  • Selection & Verification: Validated predictive assessments, video interviewing, reference checking, and candidate fraud detection.
  • Workforce Intelligence: End-to-end data feedback loops connecting initial recruitment targeting with quality-of-hire and long-term employee retention.

Addressing Market Disruptions: AI, Fraud, and Skills-Based Hiring

The acquisition comes during an industry shift shaped by tightening AI regulations, an emphasis on skills-based hiring, and a surge in generative AI-driven candidate fraud (such as fabricated résumés and automated application spam).

“The talent acquisition market is being reshaped by AI, skills-based hiring, and a wave of candidate fraud that’s changing what it means to know who you’re hiring,” said Sean Barry, CEO of Harver. “Bringing Symphony Talent into Harver gives employers around the world a single, connected solution built for that shift, from workforce planning to on-the-job performance.”

According to Harver, bringing validated assessment science and skills data to top-of-funnel recruitment will help organizations pre-qualify and match talent earlier in the hiring cycle, avoiding mismatched hires and long hiring turnaround times.
