Ellucian, the leading higher education technology solutions provider, today announced a partnership with Out in Tech, the world’s largest non-profit community of LGBTQ+ tech professionals that seeks greater diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace. The partnership underscores Ellucian’s commitment to fostering an inclusive work environment as well as recruiting and retaining top LGBTQ+ tech talent across the globe.

Through this partnership, Ellucian will gain access to Out in Tech’s community of over 45,000 LGBTQ+ tech professionals, serving as a source for experienced, executive, and entry-level talent. In addition, Ellucian employees will benefit from networking opportunities with industry leaders, participation in exclusive roundtable discussions, and exposure to best practices within the LGBTQ+ tech community.


Phenom has formed a partnership with Pontoon, a leading provider of Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) and Managed Service Provider (MSP) solutions. By equipping Pontoon with expertise to implement, adopt and maximize the Phenom Intelligent Talent Experience platform, candidates find the right job faster, employees grow and evolve, recruiters hire top talent, and managers build their teams.

Hourly.io, a fast-growing startup that is committed to fixing workers’ comp for businesses with hourly and mobile workers, has teamed up with insurance and financial services provider Nationwide to expand its workers’ comp and payroll service.

In this alliance, Hourly will serve as a Managing General Underwriter (MGU) underwriting skilled trade businesses with mobile and hourly workers using technology and millions of real-time data points from the Hourly platform. While most insurers underwrite workers’ comp based on data that is 12-18 months old, Hourly’s revolutionary use of big data gives business owners an alternative high-quality insurance partner, fairer and more accurate pricing, with personalized customer service. Businesses that will most benefit from using Hourly include construction, contracted services, transportation and trucking, foodservice, and retail stores among others.


Upwork (NASDAQ: UPWK), the world’s work marketplace, and OpenAI, a leading AI research and deployment company, today announced OpenAI Experts on Upwork, giving OpenAI customers and other businesses direct access to trusted expert independent professionals deeply experienced in working with OpenAI technologies. Upwork and OpenAI co-designed the program to feature talent adept at working with the OpenAI API platform and to draw from the 250 unique AI skills available on Upwork, including GPT-4, Whisper and AI model integration.

With Upwork’s marketplace, OpenAI is already leveraging talent from the Upwork platform to support its own innovation and growth, and quickly saw value in helping its customers connect to talent on Upwork, leading to the new partnership. Together, the companies identified the most common use cases for OpenAI customers – like building applications powered by large language models (LLMs), fine-tuning models and developing chatbots with responsible AI in mind – along with the key skills required for success. The two companies also formulated a pre-vetting process for identifying AI experts who appear as part of the program.
