Recruiting platform Paraform has raised $40 million in Series B funding, marking a major milestone in its mission to modernize the hiring industry through a mix of human expertise and artificial intelligence.
The round was led by Scale Venture Partners, as first reported by Axios. This latest infusion of capital comes less than a year after the company’s $20 million Series A, signaling rapid growth and high investor confidence in Paraform’s “agentic” approach to talent acquisition.
What is Paraform?
Founded by CEO John Kim, Paraform operates as a specialized marketplace that connects high-growth tech companies (like Palantir, Cursor, and Basis) with a global network of independent, expert recruiters.
Unlike traditional automated tools that rely solely on algorithms to screen resumes, Paraform takes a “recruiter-first” approach. The platform provides independent recruiters with “agentic” AI tools—including automated sourcing, CRM management, and candidate matching—to handle the administrative heavy lifting. This allows the recruiters to focus on the high-touch, human elements of the job: evaluating soft skills, understanding team dynamics, and closing top-tier candidates.
The Impact of the Funding
The $40 million Series B will be used to further scale Paraform’s AI capabilities and expand its reach among both startups and enterprise-level clients. Key highlights of the company’s recent momentum include:
- Hyper-Growth: The company has reportedly seen a massive surge in revenue and usage, with some clients reporting hiring speeds up to three times faster than traditional agencies.
- Contrarian Strategy: In a market flooded with tools designed to replace recruiters with AI, Paraform is successfully betting on empowering them, treating elite recruiters like “sports agents” for tech talent.
- Proven Results: Recent case studies, such as the AI accounting firm Basis, highlight Paraform’s effectiveness; Basis used the platform to make 13 critical hires across engineering and operations during a breakout year of growth.
With this new round, Paraform aims to solidify its position as the go-to infrastructure for the “modern recruiter,” bridging the gap between talent and the world’s most ambitious companies.
