UKG, a leader in AI-first HR, payroll, and workforce management SaaS solutions, today launched UKG Bryte payroll AI agents for both the UKG Pro and UKG Ready suites, delivering new tools that help all employees from the frontline to payroll administrators in the front office boost productivity by leveraging agentic AI at key points in the payroll process. UKG Bryte AI Agents complete multi-step processes across HR, payroll, and workforce management that often require little human intervention, executing specific tasks at the request of the user to unlock efficiency.

“UKG continues to deliver on its promise to use agentic AI to transform critical business processes, helping organizations to enrich their digital experiences and drive improved business performance,” said Liz Rennie, HR technology and services research director at NelsonHall. “UKG’s focus on transforming payroll over the last several years is accelerating how payroll is reimagined and what the next generation of innovations looks like.”

“Recent UKG research shows 89% of employed Americans say AI should be viewed as a tool, not a co-worker. This aligns with our vision to deliver agentic AI solutions that simplify complex processes and take on the myriad of highly repetitive, frequently repeated processes,” said Suresh Vittal, Chief Product Officer at UKG. “Our agentic AI agents will drive employee productivity and organizational performance by empowering people to focus on the most impactful parts of their jobs.”

AI Agents for Enterprises

The UKG Pro suite agents are designed to help payroll teams automate time-consuming tasks associated with paying employees, including identifying and resolving errors to further improve accuracy and gathering data from multiple sources to make insights rapidly accessible for real-time business reporting. The agentic AI can support single or multiple payroll groups and will help payroll teams operate more productively and efficiently, speeding up the entire payroll processing period.

This news comes on the heels of a recently announced collaboration with ServiceNow that integrates UKG Bryte AI agents with ServiceNow’s AI Agent Fabric to modernize digital employee experiences by streamlining a variety of operational and administrative tasks, including payroll.

AI Agents for Small- and Mid-size Businesses

For employees who use the UKG Ready suite, AI agents will simplify access to important pay data through a familiar question-and-answer chat experience. Agents will review wage and pay trends, provide insights, and suggest possible actions that employees may want to consider taking, such as putting more money into retirement. AI agents will also support common actions, like setting up direct deposit, so that employees can spend less time on administrative work and work more productively.
