Jack & Jill Secures $40M Series A to Replace Job Applications with AI Agents

SAN FRANCISCO & LONDON — AI-native hiring marketplace Jack & Jill has raised a $40 million Series A round to upend traditional recruitment and make warm professional introductions at scale.

The round was led by Air Street Capital, with participation from Creandum and Madrona.

Replacing the Job Application

Founded by Matthew Wilson (CEO) and Saaras Mehan (CTO), the platform operates on a dual-agent model designed to eliminate cold outreach, resume spam, and traditional job boards:

  • Jackis a voice agent dedicated to job seekers, holding conversations with professionals to deeply understand their career ambitions, preferences, and ideal roles.
  • Jillis an embedded recruiting agent for companies, learning team dynamics, technical bars, and culture to surface vetted talent.

Rather than candidates submitting resumes into applicant tracking systems (ATS), the two autonomous agents negotiate on behalf of their respective sides. When both agents agree on mutual alignment, they directly facilitate a warm introduction between the candidate and hiring team—skipping the application phase altogether.

“Candidates struggle to be seen, while employers cannot tell who is serious. More applications and better filters will not solve that,” said co-founder and CTO Saaras Mehan. “It requires a fundamentally different solution: a network brokered by agents that understand what both sides want.”

Rapid Early Traction

The fundraise follows significant growth across major tech hubs, including San Francisco, New York, and London:

  • 380,000+ candidatesactively consulting Jack on their careers.
  • 5,000+ companiesactively sourcing via Jill, including high-profile tech firms such as Ramp, Maze, Multiverse, and Attio.

What’s Next

Jack & Jill plans to use the new capital to accelerate engineering, expand agent capabilities, and grow headcount across its San Francisco, New York, and London offices as it scales toward a fully agent-brokered labor market.
