Deel Makes Acquisition

Deel, the global HR and payroll company, is acquiring Hofy, the world’s leading device supply and management company. This is an onboarding play, Hofy sends company devices (phone, laptop) to newly onboarded workers in more than 127 countries.

The link (or lack thereof, often) between global HR and IT functions can be a massive headache – and the acquisition helps bridge this operational gap, while creating a more seamless and unified experience for workers.

Deel has also used Hofy to run its fully remote, global team (more than 4,000 team members dispersed across 100+ countries and 20+ time zones). The co-founder and CPO of Hofy worked for Deel in its infancy.

The complete integration will take several months as Deel prepares to launch a brand new offering: Deel IT. Deel IT will be an end-to-end IT suite and will include services like software provisioning, app access management, integrations with mobile device management (MDM) and identity tools.

Deel, which hit $500M in annual recurring revenue earlier this year and has EBITDA positive since September 2022, will be the first HR and payroll company to have this robust of an offering in-house.
