Founded in 2023 by tech veterans Sabashan Ragavan and Ramie Raufdeen—who previously held leadership roles at Instagram, Microsoft, and Salesforce—HeyMilo has gained rapid traction among corporate recruiters, staffing agencies, and business process outsourcing (BPO) firms.

The core platform uses conversational AI to autonomously conduct phone, text, and video pre-screening interviews. The tech allows lean HR teams to instantly engage with thousands of applicants, generating structured transcriptions and performance scores mapped directly into an employer’s standard Applicant Tracking System (ATS).

With its fresh $6 million war chest, HeyMilo is heavily expanding its platform architecture beyond simple voice screening into what it terms “agentic recruiting” workflows.

To combat the growing trend of candidates using generic generative AI tools to write perfect resumes and fake their way through initial screens, HeyMilo is rolling out three highly specialized AI agents:

  • AI Scenario Assessment: This agent puts job candidates through a live, interactive scenario with a built-in AI assistant. The system then rubrics-scores how the candidate plans, prompts, and evaluates the AI’s output.
