SAPs Vocational Training (VT) department, responsible for training SAP’s apprentices and dual students, uses SAP SuccessFactors for its processes. However, there are apprentice and student specific processes not covered by SAP SuccessFactors, for which the VT department used custom solutions and many spreadsheets in the past. This caused redundancies, data flow gaps, a lack of transparency and a resource intensive reporting.
As dual students & apprentices ourselves, we wanted to solve those challenges and make our own lives easier, by developing a solution covering the unique requirements for early talent management and connecting it with the data from SAP SuccessFactors, providing a unified overview for students, trainers and managers alike.
Our internal Early Talent Management solution is built from the ground up on , tightly integrated into SAP SuccessFactors, with now over 20 Fiori applications, covering most of the requirements of SAPs 14 VT programs from around the globe. We use the solution at SAP since mid 2022 and are currently evaluating if it could also be used to manage our interns.
