For those interested in HR technology, OpenAI’s announcement that it will launch a Jobs Platform and companion certification program may be – I say “may be” – the biggest developments since… 2024, when ChatGPT launched.
Rather than simply introducing a new tool, OpenAI is signaling a more expansive move into HR technology — one that blends skill-building, data aggregation and job matching in one place. However, the question is less about whether OpenAI can disrupt the market and more about how deeply it can embed itself into the broader future of work.
