Introdution

In this blog we look at the importance of legacy bonus plan eligibility rules in Variable Pay. We can turn them on with the following checkboxes:

 

They are the only ones that will work both for EC records and Imported (non-EC) records (EC bonus plan rules only work for EC imported records) and as such are critical to handle the following scenarios:

Case of permanently transferred employees (for example 1/1 to 3/31 employee of the Peru legal entity then 4/1 to 9/1 employee of the Canada legal entity and since 9/2 employee of the US legal entity) where customer needs to export the data for the different userID retrieved from EC and load it under the ID of the latest active record in order for the full payout to show up on the statement of the most current active record of the employee.Case of EC data missing for the first cycle (for example bonus cycle is 1/1 to 12/31 and EC data cutover was 9/1 so two third of the fiscal year data of reference is missing in EC and needs to be imported in the VarPay template’s Employee History.
