Requirement:

Calculate coverage based on number of dependents

Per Spouse 5000

Per Child 2500

If someone has a spouse & 2 children, coverage should be 5000+(2500*2) = 10000

By standard, we cannot define coverage based on number of dependents.

Solution:

Using business rule, we can update coverage amount based on number of dependents.

 

Coverage Rule:

Scenario: Determine Round off Value for Benefit Salary Calculation and for Insurance Coverage

 

 

Assign the rule to Coverage Rounding Rule of Insurance Coverage.

 

Testing:

You can see below coverage is auto calculated for this employee who has a spouse & 2 children as dependents.
