As part of our ongoing efforts to streamline and optimize HR processes we are deprecating and planning to eventually remove the Rehire Inactive Employee feature from Admin Center.
Why are we doing this? This deprecation simplifies the rehiring process for inactive employees by providing Duplicate Check as the sole, comprehensive UI entry point to the process. Duplicate Check has the following advantages over Rehire Inactive Employee:Duplicate Check includes more data points such as national IDs when searching for inactive employee matches. This additional layer of verification reduces the number of matches, making the search results more precise and manageable. When displaying matched employees, Duplicate Check provides detailed information about their current and past employments. This includes crucial details like legal entities and contingent employment indicators, giving HR a clearer understanding of the employee’s work history. You can rehire an employee whose termination date is in the future. As long as the rehire date is after the termination date, Duplicate Check provides options to either accept the match or proceed with rehiring under new employment terms. This flexibility ensures that HR can manage rehiring processes efficiently, even for employees who are scheduled for future terminations(screenshot from demo instance)What do you need to know?
