In the SAP ecosystem, we often talk about “Meeting the customer where they are.” When I started developing the Payroll Impact Simulator as a personal pilot project, I wanted to solve a universal pain point: the “black box” of payroll. Employees constantly ask how life changes—like a new baby or a 401k adjustment—will impact their take-home pay.

To solve this, I’ve developed a solution using a SAP Fiori frontend that communicates with Backend ECP OData APIs to trigger real-time simulations.
